Maybank2u..hati2 dgn Phishing email

Sebelum ni i tak penah peduli bila ade org kata or bincang pasal bnda ni>> "Phishing email". Maklum laa, rasa mcm tak penting n takde kaitan langsung pun dengan hidup. I just started create my own Maybank2u this year. Punya lah lambat (if ikutkn my age ni, sepatutnye awal2 lg i should have one) but Nway, nak d jadik kan crita.....after i dah create Maybank2u, tetibe oneday tu i dpt email.

i open that email dengan rasa teruja. Ingatkan ade benda penting. After i read thru, there's something wrong with my account. i dh panic a bit time tu. Coz mengikut kata email tu, i need to unblock my account coz ade third party yg cube access tp tak berjaya (invalid log in). so dengan gelabah nyer, i open link yg dia provide dlm email tu. Then bila dh open, dia mntk TAC number pulak. TAC number?? ape kebenda nih? tak penah dgr pun... kt situ ade notice dia tulis, if nak code TAC, kna tggu lbh kurang 10 mins coz password tu nnt dia hantar thru hp. So, okey fine laa......i pun tunggu. Time tu dah late nite. Bila tunggu punya tunggu.......still takde, i trus log off. eh, tp....before that, i dgn pandainye g anta inquiry kt Maybank2u tnya knape code TAC tak anta pun to my phone? (actually, TAC num tu kna request thru ATM machine) i tatau pon sblom tu. After dh tnya my dad, baru i tau.

So, mlm tu i trus tido. Tak pikir pape dah... So, the next day i asked my dad. I tunjuk kt dia, this email was send to me and what should i do? Then, my dad suggest don't do anything. Reconfirm first dengan org bank. Call their Customer Service. Then, i did like what he said. After dh ngadu dgn org bank, dorg tnya, i ada bg ape2 information tak? i kata takde. dorg tnya lagi, u sure ke? Then, i cakap i sure.

Then dorg bagitau i, actually Maybank says that they NEVER give any email to their customers to request anything regarding to their acc. So, what i've got is just a Phishing email.


Mesti org tertanya2..."Phishing email" tu ape? Phishing email tu email yg d antar oleh orang ntah pape to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft. Senang citer, to steal the user's information. The e-mail directs the user to visit a website where they are asked to update personal information, such as passwords and credit card, social security, and bank account numbers, that the legitimate organization already has. (cth legitimate organ tu: mcm Maybank laa) if u go to the link, they can access your account bank, then they will take ALL ur money. Tu bahaya nye phishing email ni.

After i find out that was a Phishing email, i went to the nearest branch Maybank to renew my account n bankcard skali. Tukar password coz takut third party can access to my account. Benda ni bleh settle on the spot and tak amik masa yg lama pun. Lucky me, i just read thru the website and tak bg any information. if not, all my money dlm my account will gone!!!

Nway, bila benda ni happened to me, i have several tips nak kongsi with all readers:

Firstly- PLEASE be reminded that Maybank NEVER give any email regarding to ur acc. (update ke, ape ke...) NEVER!! if nak make sure betul ke tak email tu, call Customer Service immediately.) jangan pandai2 bertindak sendiri.

Secondly- kalau dh tersilap, u dah open email tu, please DO NOT COPY & PASTE the link provided dlm email tu. This is very2 important step that u need to pay attention coz this is the way how they get all of ur information. Jgn reveal any personal info.

Thirdly- Usually, email dlm tu contain some silly mistakes like misspell. So,please read it carefully. And the email with no subject (takde tajuk) and sender dia ialah info@maybank2u.com.my (this is a Phishing email, plz ignore guyzz..!!)

Sekali pandang, mmg nmpk mcm realkan?? tp, if korg perhati kan betul2...email ni ade silap spt
http://www.secure-mybank2u.com/ ( dia tulis mybank2u) bkn "Maybank2u", perasan tak? so, if credible company they won't let silly mistake like this happen in any possible way. This is one of a signs that this email is not an original email.

Lagi satu, email yg korg bleh percaya is from mgcc@maybank.com.my (Maybank Group Customer Care). Remember, kalau dpt email... trus direct call Customer Service and jangan pepandai bertindak sendiri.
